Drop-out fuses can also be made into one-time heavy-duty fuses, which have two sets of fuse tubes. Normally, only one set of fuse tubes is connected. When it fuses and falls, the other set automatically closes at a certain interval (about 0.3 to 0.5 seconds) by the automatic reset gate mechanism. The use of drop-down fuse protection is also promoted for small-capacity 35kV transformers, namely Rw535 type, which is used to replace the old product_Rwl35 type high-voltage breaker. It is similar to the 10kV drop-out fuse, except that the fuse tube is longer. The overall dimensions are larger (the two static contacts are fixed with two support insulators).
This fuse consists of a fixed bracket and a movable fuse tube. The fuse tube (melt tube) is made of resin layer rolled cardboard and lined with asbestos in the middle. Each end of the baked wire is crimped with a section of braided copper stranded wire for connection. It passes through the fuse tube, and the movable contacts at the upper and lower ends are fixed with screws. The movable upper contact is tightened and fixed by the fuse, and is caught by the protruding support in the "duckbill" on the upper static contact, causing the fuse to break.

The fuse is in the "passage" position. When the fuse is melted, an arc is generated in the fuse tube. The inner wall of the baking tube generates a large amount of gas under the action of the arc, and the gas spurts out at a high level, producing a strong deionization effect and extinguishing the arc when the current is excessive. At the same time, after the fuse is blown, the upper contact on the fuse tube becomes loose. Due to the dead weight of the fuse tube, it slips out of the "duckbill" of the upper static contact and falls rapidly.
The fuse tube of this fuse melts after the fuse blows. Automatic fall, on the one hand, it is a fuse mark, on the other hand, it creates an obvious front disconnection distance, which plays the role of f isolating switch.
