Line type metal oxide arrester

Compared with the line-type lightning arrester with gaps, there are two different characteristics compared with the power station-type lightning arresters:

The object of line-type arrester protection is line insulators, so the residual voltage of the arrester can be increased, which is beneficial to reduce the over-voltage current through the operation of the arrester.

The line-type arrester is installed on the line pole, and its performance cannot be tested at ordinary times. It must be equipped with a breakaway device to achieve maintenance-free.

10-110kV line type metal oxide arrester has a unique release device. The arrester is connected to the wire through a disconnector. The disengagement device is composed of core components-thermal explosion disengagement device and other components. Under normal conditions, the lightning arrester passes through the lightning current and the operating overvoltage current, and the disconnector does not operate. Under abnormal conditions, when the arrester is damaged due to failure, the disconnector device can reliably operate to automatically separate the arrester from the wire, ensure uninterrupted power supply, and maintain a sufficient insulation distance between the wire and the arrester. (The technical parameters are the same as the previous zinc oxide surge arresters without gaps)

Disengager

The thermal explosion disconnector has passed the action load test (secondary line discharge is applied after 4/10uS 100kA) and the 2mS 400A square wave test, which proves that the disconnector does not operate when the arrester is working normally.
