(1) After the maintenance personnel first stopped the capacitor and took safety measures, they checked the primary and secondary wiring of the current transformer and found that the connections were reliable and firm; they measured the secondary insulation resistance of the current transformer and found that the secondary insulation resistance was 1.2MΩ and there was no abnormality;
(2) Check the capacitor discharge voltage transformer to ensure that the primary and secondary wiring connections are firm, reliable and without abnormalities;
(3) The insulation of the capacitor to ground and the insulation between phases are both above 2000MΩ, and there is no abnormality;
(4) Check the high-voltage arrester connection and wiring connections to ensure good contact and insulation resistance above 1000MΩ;
(5) Apply DC 1mA voltage u1mA to the high-voltage arrester, and the specified variation range should not exceed ±5%
(6) The leakage current of 0.75u1mA for high-voltage arresters should not exceed 50μA according to the regulations.
Analysis and Treatment of Excessive Leakage Current of High Voltage Arrester
From the above test results, compared with the initial value, the variation range of the DC 1mA voltage u1mA is less than ±5%, which is in compliance with the regulations; the leakage current of 0.75u1mA in the A and B phases is less than 50μA, while the C phase exceeds the specified value, indicating that the leakage current of the C-phase zinc oxide arrester is too large. After replacing the C-phase high-voltage arrester with a qualified high-voltage arrester, the fault was eliminated.
Preventive measures for excessive leakage current from high-voltage arrester manufacturers
(1) Measure the leakage current under the operating voltage of the high-voltage arrester in a timely manner. When the measured value changes significantly compared with the initial value, monitoring should be strengthened;
(2) During operation, operating personnel should perform inspections carefully and detect equipment abnormalities in a timely manner and eliminate them in a timely manner to avoid expanding the scope of faults.
