After adjusting the corresponding parameters and improving the formula and process of the zinc oxide resistors, the maximum charge rate that the zinc oxide resistors can withstand is increased to about 85%, thereby reducing the accident rate of the gapless MOA to a normal level.

Anti-fouling and self-cleaning: The organic coat has "hydrophobicity" and is not easy to accumulate. Even after the accumulation of fouling, the dirt will also become "hydrophobic", which greatly increases the pollution flashover voltage and has better insulation performance.
It also has the advantages of small size, light weight, no damage to transportation, no rust, and very convenient installation pre-test. Due to the reliability of the product's protection of high-voltage facilities and its high reliability, CMOA can increase the interval between preventive tests.
The development of CMOA has undergone three stages of improvement since 1992.
The first stage: the umbrella skirt is made individually, then glued into the entire jacket, and finally a special material is poured between the positioned jacket and the zinc oxide resistor to make it (potting type).
The second stage: multiple umbrella skirts are made at one time, which overcomes the quality problem of poor adhesion of single umbrella skirts during mass production (potting type).
The third stage: The organic synthetic insulating material is directly molded on the periphery of the zinc oxide resistor core to make it integrated. It overcomes the poor bonding of the first and second stages of the process or the different thermal expansion coefficients of the three layers of materials (organic synthetic insulating outer layer, special potting material intermediate layer, and innermost layer of zinc oxide resistors) which may appear during long-term use. The possibility of relative sliding between the two interfaces and the infiltration of moisture (overmolded type).
