However, although the performance of drop-out fuses is excellent, if you do not pay attention to the operation, the performance may be affected. In normal times, it is not allowed to operate drop-out fuses, and only unloaded equipment can be operated. However, there are exceptions. If the 10kV distribution line branch line of the rural power grid and the distribution transformer with a rated capacity of less than 200kVA are allowed to operate with load according to the following requirements:
There are 4 precautions for drop-out fuses.
First, the operation must be performed by two people (in one case of supervision, the other person performs the operation). Cold shrink cable terminal operators must wear qualified insulating gloves, insulating shoes and goggles. However, operation is prohibited during thunderstorms or heavy rain.
Second, we should pay attention to the order of opening the gate. The prescribed order is the center first, then the leeward side phase, and finally the windward side phase. This is also due to the fact that the distribution transformer is changed from three-phase operation to two-phase operation. Because the electric spark generated by pulling off the intermediate phase is minimal, no short circuit will occur. After that, the distance between the leeward side phase and the windward side phase of the European cable joint has doubled. If voltage is generated, the possibility of causing a short circuit between phases will be much smaller. When the windward phase is finally disconnected, the current generated at this time no longer poses any threat.
Third, it should be noted that the operation sequence when closing the circuit breaker is reversed when opening the circuit breaker, that is, the third step is reversed.
Last but not least, since the operation of this melting tube is troublesome, always pay attention to whether the contacts are in poor contact, so as not to cause the contacts to overheat and create a vicious cycle.
