It is especially suitable for places where power outages are not suitable, such as postal and telecommunications, airport stations, hospitals,Bustling commercial areas, etc. Other properties of the product are the same as those of distribution type arresters.
The second-generation drop-type arrester adds a disconnector. When an abnormality occurs in the arrester, the power-frequency short-circuit current is used to activate the disconnector, causing the ground terminal of the disconnector to automatically disconnect. The arrester component falls down and exits operation to prevent further accidents. It is also easy for maintenance personnel to detect and repair and replace in a timely manner. The falling principle is similar to that of a fuse that blows and causes the fuse tube to fall.
