Why choose cold-shrinkable cable accessories
Cold-shrinkable cable accessories are made of elastomer silicone rubber materials that are injected and vulcanized in the factory, and then expanded and lined with core rope supports to form various cable accessories. During on-site installation, these pre-expansion pieces are placed on the treated cable ends or joints, and the internal support core rope is pulled out and pressed against the cable insulation to form a cable accessory. Because it relies on elastic retraction at room temperature, rather than heating and shrinking with fire like heat-shrinkable cable accessories, it is commonly known as cold-shrinkable cable accessories.
Cold shrinking eliminates the trouble and unsafe factors of flame heating used in heat shrinkable products. For heat shrinkable products, cold shrinkable cable accessories use the pre-expansion support principle. When the core rope is taken out, it can automatically shrink and reset. It does not require heating, so it is called cold shrinkage. It is very convenient to use.
